Mindful Movement Practice at Sadana Center
Our Purpose
Sadana Center was created as a sanctuary for those seeking balance, clarity, and a deeper connection to themselves. The word sadana means the art of uniting body, mind, and spirit, and also refers to the morning prayer—a daily return to presence. We honor this meaning by offering practices that help you slow down, breathe, and reconnect with your natural rhythm.
Our Approach
We teach movement as a path of inner cultivation. Through Tai Chi, Qigong, breathwork, and mindful awareness, students gradually harmonize the internal and external body, soften tension, and restore emotional balance. Each class is gentle, intentional, and rooted in ancient Chinese tradition—supporting long‑term well‑being with patience and presence.
Authentic Ancient Chinese Qigong
Sadana Center is the only place in the Clearwater area where students can experience authentic ancient Chinese Qigong alongside traditional Tai Chi exercises. Together, these practices support the cultivation of:
-
internal energy (Qi)
-
external strength and mobility
-
emotional grounding
-
mental clarity
-
a deeper sense of harmony
Rooted in lineage and tradition, our approach honors the original teachings so each movement carries intention, purpose, and depth.
Master Shifu Orlando Schiaffino
With more than 30 years of dedicated practice, Master Shifu Orlando brings a rare blend of martial arts mastery, heart‑centered teaching, and deep spiritual grounding to every class. His lifelong journey began at age seven and later led him to live and study at the Buddhist Temple Tian‑Tan in Lima under the guidance of the Honorable Grand Master Yin Lung Tsa.
Over the years, he has trained in traditional Qigong, Tai Chi, and internal martial arts with respected teachers and lineages, including Grand Master Gerardo Lau Laos, Master Zhao Jiang, Master Li Wang, and Master Zhongxian Wu. His studies span Taoist Qigong, Bagua, Taoist alchemy, healing sounds, Li Da Tapping Qigong, and other internal arts that shape his unique approach.
Students describe his presence as calm, steady, and uplifting—someone who teaches not only technique, but a way of living with intention, awareness, and peaceful strength.
Our Space
Sadana Center is held within the beautiful Fire + Stone Shamanic Healing Center, a serene environment shaped by natural stone sculptures, warm textures, and grounding energy. The space feels like a sanctuary—quiet, welcoming, and deeply supportive of inner work.
Before each class, the room is prepared with intention, creating an atmosphere of safety, clarity, and gentle renewal.
