It is a tradition in our Center to celebrate the Chinese New Year, and that's is the reason why we decided to do a Virtual Celebration and keep this tradition alive! 

We know that 2020 was a very tough year. Today more than ever we need your blessings, love, and support to continue our legacy.

Let's start the year of the Metal Ox 2021 with positive thoughts, respect, love, and always united as a community as we have been doing it for all these years.

CHINESE NEW YEAR 2021 ONLINE CELEBRATION 

According to the ancient tradition, this is the time for Shifu Orlando and his students to pay respect and honor to our elders, the spirit of our ancient masters, and our Kwoon (Sadana Center).

This is a FREE event open to our Taichi & Qigong students, their families, friends, and all our Sadana Center Qi friends; however, it is a tradition to honor Shifu Orlando with a Hong Bao (红包) "Red envelope" gift to wish him a prosperous life, good health & happiness in this year of the Ox 2021.

Year of the Ox

2021 is the Year of the Ox, considered an honest, dependable, and determined animal representing patience and achieving goals through consistent effort. 

What to Wear

Red is the main color for the festival, as red is believed to be an auspicious color. Wear bright red, gold /orange/yellow colors. 

All those colors symbolize wealth and prosperity. You can wear a red accessory, for example, a red scarf.

During Zoom Meeting

If you wish, have Chinese food (or your favorite food) or Tea during the celebration. Have flowers, oranges, or tangerines. The citrus fruit promises luck, prosperity, and long life. 

EVENT PROGRAM

1. The event will start with the Mantra "Om" 21 times which represents the essence of ultimate reality and unifies everything in the universe.

2. Chinese New Year story and the Ox animal.

3. Ritual of gratitude.

4. Chinese New Year 2021 announcement with incense and 12 strokes of the Gong that represent the 12 animals of the Chinese Horoscope.

5. Student Recognition Awards: Phoenix and Dragon 2020.

6. New Year 2021 bracelet energized with Fu Qi (Raffle)

7. One Word Resolution Activity.

8. Raffle.

9. Closing the ceremony with a Satsang. Master Shifu gives to all the students and participants a beautiful Satsang.

From the bottom of my heart, I know that this year will bring many new cycles to continue building the foundations of Sadana center. Let's be strong and resilient as an ox! Let's welcome a happy and lucky new year 2021!
