The Transformative Power of Qigong for Mind, Body, and Spirit Harmony

Beyond what every book repeats about “Qi” (energy) and “Gong” (cultivation, work), there is an essence the Western mind still doesn’t fully understand.
Qigong is not a weekend certification. It is more than movement, breathing, or a fitness routine of choreographed steps like a ballet team. Qigong is becoming part of a family.

In Chinese tradition, the true essence of Qigong lies in its ability to foster:
A calm and balanced mind
A luminous spirit, clear as a diamond
A lean, flexible, and strong body
If your practice does not guide you towards these attributes, then you are not genuinely practicing Qigong.

Having practiced this beautiful art for many years, I've witnessed the amazing transformation it offers. I never anticipated achieving such progress or experiencing such profound peace, harmony, happiness, health, and the vitality of a tiger.
Being part of a Qigong family and having a Shifu is a blessing that marks the rest of your life. Only those who belong to that old school—now slowly disappearing in our so‑called modern world—truly understand this.
One of the moments that touched me most was when I met my Shifu, Grand Master Yin Lung Tsa. I still remember his words with great emotion and respect:
“Orlando, true men who want to do service to humanity are needed.”
One of the initial lessons I learned at Tian Tan Temple was serving others. Initially, I struggled to grasp this concept of service. However, once I embraced it, it became one of the most fulfilling feelings a person can give to the world.
Upon arriving in the United States and establishing my own martial arts school, I realized that serving humanity sincerely allows you to truly value the beauty of life. Life is the most extraordinary and precious gift we have.
Practicing martial arts and Qigong with others is truly a blessing, as it fosters deep connections. These connections are further strengthened when you collectively receive life lessons from your Shifu, nurturing humility, respect, patience, love, and balance.
