When was the last time you cleanse your home or business energetically?
"Sahumar" (in Spanish) or Smudging is a very old ritual, part of the tradition of various ancient and millenary cultures such as the Egyptians, Babylonians, Romans, Buddhists, Tibetans, Indians, and ancient shamanic cultures.
The action of burning incense immerses you in internal peace and in many people's homes, this becomes a daily ritual. I always burn rose petals, sandalwood, and palo santo sticks in Sadana Center and also in my home.
Something that I never forget is that my masters always told me that our home is our sacred temple. Our home is our bubble of peace and we need that environment to be clean and energetically protected.
Not only is it important to maintain a tidy and clean home, but it is also important to renew its energy at least every three months.
Changing the vibration of your home
There are times when it is essential to clean your home's energy. Negative thoughts, anxiety, arguing with your partner, stress, the envy that comes to your house many times under the mask of the lie of someone you think is your friend, the fear of the future, all those emotions are stuck on the walls and creates heavy and negative energy.
That is why it is very important to clean and change the vibration of your house and the vibration of your business.
For many ancient cultures and religions, smudge and the intention to bless with love always create an energetic force to carry away all those dark energies that should not be in our homes and businesses.
The word "sahumar" (cleansing) means "to perfume with aromatic smoke", hence the name of the "sahumerios". These are made from various aromatic plants such as rosemary, lavender, mint, jasmine, basil, or even cinnamon, minerals and resins are also used.
Personally, I use sage and palo santo. All these herbs and resins are responsible for purifying the environment in depth with the aroma that the smoke of the herbs gives off, creating an environment of harmony, peace, abundance, and health in your home.
When to sahumar or clean?
You should do it when there are many discussions or conflicts in your house, when those who live are constantly getting sick, when you need to renew your energy, or you find yourself anxious, depressed, unbalanced and you cannot calm your mind from disturbing ideas or thoughts that keep you up at night.
What herbs can I use to smudge?
Sage: It is used to clean as its smoke removes negative energy from spaces and people. Enhances the qualities of the other herbs used in rituals.
Rosemary: This plant emits powerful cleansing and purifying vibrations. It is used to cleanse a place of negative forces and unwanted spirits.
It is one of the oldest incense.
Palo Santo: This sacred wood from my country of origin Peru is one of the most important energy allies. Its aroma is capable of helping us achieve states of calm and meditation. Attract good luck, provide protection, and helps us achieve better spiritual communication with the Universe.
Lavender: It is excellent for the treatment of anxiety and stress as it promotes calm, helping to relax the body and mind.
Roses: Due to their energetic power connected to the frequency of love, it is used to attract love and inner elevation. The colors of its petals have different energetic meanings.
Bad vibes, be gone.
With the arrival of the holiday season and family gatherings, now is the right time to energetically clean your home and create a space of peace, light, and love.
Cleaning places energetically is not an easy task. If you need "Sahumar" your home or business, look for someone whose role in this world and in this life is to clean energetic places.
