The Yin Energy and Wisdom of the Winter Solstice.

Updated: Dec 31, 2022

Welcome Winter Solstice!

During summer, we shared a post about the year’s longest day, the Summer Solstice. Today, we're going to explore the energies and wisdom of the Winter Solstice.

While Yang energy (Summer Season) drives us to go outward and express our fullest selves to the world, Yin energy invites us to go inward. Shorter days and colder temperatures offer us a great opportunity to conserve our resources and look within ourselves.

Winter solstice is a time to be genuinely grateful for all that has transpired the previous year as well as a time to let go of all that has been used up including the sorrows and missed opportunities of the past year.

Winter is the time to let go of fear and is the natural time of the year to find acceptance for the changes in your life rather than being consumed by the fears of what will go wrong.

Do not stagnate during the winter season.

Another valuable area to be conscious of is your level of physical activity, not to become stagnant. Most people tend to put on a few extra pounds during the winter season since the days are shorter and we are less active.

It is good to go into winter with the awareness that while you need warming food, you don't need as much food as you do during the most active season of the year.

Also, it’s essential to stay warm throughout the cold of winter for your health and well-being.

I always say to my students to keep their necks protected with a scarf when they go out to prevent colds.

There are a lot of ways you can take care of your physical body during the winter months.

Qigong is a great option for “winter fitness.”

New Year’s Resolution.

Chances are at some time in your life you’ve made a New Year’s resolution, and then broken it. This year, stop the cycle of resolving to make a change and then not following through.

If your resolution is to take better care of yourself and get healthy, you will have a much better year if your resolution sticks.

At Sadana Center we’re really excited because NEW special CLASSES and workshops are COMING in 2023 to help you gain awareness and confidence in what you want to manifest in 2023.

We will announce them very soon. Please, be sure to check our website for updates.
