2022 The Year of Water Tiger

Happy Chinese New Year 2022! Year of the Tiger!.

Known as Spring Festival in China, Lunar New Year falls today, on February 1st.

It marks the first day of the Year of the Tiger in the Chinese calendar.

The Chinese New year is a special event that we always celebrate at Sadana Center.

Though the occasion is meant to be spent with our students, family, and friends, for the second straight year, we will be forced to celebrate the Chinese New year apart.

Last year we found a way to celebrate the festival with a Zoom online event.

We were very grateful for our students, families, and friends who took part in this online celebration

If you’re not familiar with how Sadana Center celebrate the Chinese New Year, take a moment and learn more about it with the following post Year of the Rat Celebration in 2020

The Chinese New Year 2020 was a wonderful party!.

Will Sadana Center celebrate the Chinese New year 2022?

This year, still we can't have a party, but we can't miss the Chinese New Year celebration either.

On these 15 days of celebration that culminate with the Lantern Festival on February 15, we are going to do special events in our classes, with our Qigong students.

There are a few traditions that we can still do.

Shifu Orlando will play 12 times the Gong to announce the Chinese New Year 2022. Every Gong stroke represents each animal from the Chinese Zodiac.

The Gong creates good energy, the vibration moves the stagnation, and it moves the bad energy away.

After playing it 12 times we'll wish good luck, happiness, long life, and prosperity!

Another tradition is to recognize the Sadana Center students with the Phoenix and Dragon awards for their dedication, skills in performing Qigong, and discipline.

Who will be recognized this year? If you are a student you will find out during our classes!. :)

If not, make sure to visit our Sadana Center Facebook Page and Instagram where every day we post information about our classes, qigong tips, and events.

Also, during this month of celebration Shifu Orlando will recognize Sadana Center students for their accomplishments and they will receive their Promotional Sash and Rank!.

In addition, like every year, a semi-precious stones healing bracelet will be raffled among the students.

The picture below shows last year's bracelet. A one-of-a-kind genuine Red Carnelian, Black Tourmaline, and Lava stone bracelet with a stainless steel gold accent bead.

What is the Year of the Water Tiger?

It is time to say goodbye to the Year of the Ox and salute the Year of the Tiger!.

2022 Year of the Water Tiger
The tiger is known for its power, fearlessness, and inner strength.

For the Sadana Center's students, this is a very important year. The tiger is known for its power, fearlessness, and inner strength.

After 60 years, the energy of the Water Tiger returns to the planet and begins this February 1st.

In our Qigong classes, we teach the Theory of the Five Elements. According to that theory, the element in 2022 is water. The water's energy is connected with emotions, creativity, and it flows in harmony with the cycles of life.

In Feng Shui, the water is a powerful natural force that overcomes fire.

Too much fire is the conflicting emotions, overthinking of our hectic lives, and daily stress.

Embracing the energy of water this 2022 allows us to flow with our life, and the constant change that we live day by day.

In 2022 our purpose is to transmit to all of you the movements of the "water Tiger" QiGong. Get ready to practice qigong exercises that are beneficial for the kidneys, the bones, the bone marrow, and the tendons; because the water in Chinese medicine is connected to all those organs.

Another important event in the Year of the Tiger is the White Tiger Qigong Workshop coming on March 26th, 2022.

Please make sure to check our Event Page for more information.

HONG BAO "RED ENVELOPE"

According to the ancient tradition, this is the time for Shifu Orlando and his students to pay respect and honor our elders, the spirit of our ancient masters, and our Kwoon. The Hong Bao (红包) "Red envelope" tradition represents prosperity, Longevity, and Happiness for our mentors.

Every year in Sadana Center we keep this tradition alive. This is the best time to honor your Shifu and the spirit of our Kwoon with your Hong Bao gift to wish him a prosperous life, good health & happiness in this year of the Tiger 2022.

For our students, when you come to class you will see a Buddha with Hong Bao's red envelopes. If you wish, take one and leave your donation with love and best wishes for Shifu.

Even in these difficult times, let's celebrate the Chinese New Year 2022 with optimism!.

If you want, when you come to class during these 15 days of celebration, wear a bright red, gold, orange, or yellow scarf or any accessories with bright colors.

All those colors symbolize wealth and prosperity!.
