According to the canons of Chinese medicine, the concept of health lies in balancing Yin and Yang.

The Principle of Yin-yang on Shamanic Qigong

Yin-yang is a principle of Chinese medicine that explains the existence of two opposite but complementary forces that are essential in the universe: yin, associated with the feminine, darkness, passivity, and the earth; and yang, linked to the masculine, the light, the active and the sky.

In the ancient book of Chinese medicine Lingshu in Neijing it is stated that “when yin and yang are deficient, fire should be used”, “when the meridians are weak, the treatment is fire” and “when the meridians are tense”, fire must be applied.”
