Qigong for Arthritis

Are you feeling stiff and inflexible? or even worse, are you feeling pain in your joints?

According to Chinese Medicine, after the age of 40, the body begins to lose water, and one of the results of the lack of water in our body is arthritis.

One of the results of the lack of water in our body is arthritis.

There are millions of people worldwide that suffer from arthritis. In the United States, 23% of all adults, or more than 54 million people, have arthritis.

They are many different forms of arthritis, the symptom can be very mild to extreme. If patients experience tremendous pain they can lose their quality of life

In the United States, more than 54 million people, have arthritis.

One of the main reasons people start practicing Qigong is because they suffer from some type of arthritis.

One of the main reasons people start practicing Qigong is because they suffer from some type of arthritis.

Every year companies try to come up with new treatments and medications to treat arthritis.

Millions of dollars are spent to find new drugs to help relieve arthritis pain.

But something that EVERY doctor or expert would agree is helpful for all forms of arthritis is …movement.

Movement is helpful for all forms of arthritis.

But what kind of movements? The idea is to have movements that are easy for the body.

A single Qigong class will have a wide variety of movement that is helpful for arthritis.

You can invigorate all your muscles, joints, tendons, bones, soft tissue in various ways, they will get stronger over time as you practice Qigong, and you will activate and move your qi.

You will get a lot of stretching.

One of the exercises that we practice at Sadana Center that is beneficial for people suffering from arthritis is Tiger Qigong. This type of Qigong helps with bone density and tendons.

Also, we teach other styles such as White Lotus Flower, Fire Meridian Dragon, Eighteen Palm of Buddha, Baduanjin, White Crane, Taoist Alchemy, which offer so many health benefits for the body, mind, and spirit, but we will talk about them in future posts.

Qigong practice is also good for improving the circulation of fluids and blood.

Qigong focuses on relaxing the body, you will have deep breathing and get to relax. Your mind and body will be calm. The movement will help decrease pain and stiffness.

If you are experiencing some arthritis, and you want to prevent the progression or slow it down or stop it, I will recommend adding Qigong into your routine.

It may not “cure” arthritis but it will definitely help. You will see for yourself some improvement.

Since I started teaching Qigong in this country, 20 years ago, I have had many students who have suffered from many ailments, and they have had the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of QiGong.

Currently, I have students who have osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, disc degeneration, fibromyalgia, sports injuries, and bone density problems.

After 60 days of Qigong practice, 90% reported several benefits, such as the level of pain decreased, inflammation was reduced, and they sleep much better.

In our classes, I can always “modify” Qigong practices to suit you and your body.

For example, in the first part of our class, we do breathing exercises. Usually, we do these exercises laying down on a mat. But if you cannot lay down, you can use a chair.

If you have to sit, reduce the range of motion, or avoid certain movements due to your restrictions, that’s fine.

You can prevent arthritis by practicing Qigong. Qigong can help to promote healthy joints. Healthy joints are the key to pain-free movement.

Qigong is for all ages.

Remember, Qigong is for all ages. I am proud to say that I have students in their 60s, 70s, and 80s who have achieved the flexibility of bamboo!.
